Ordained in 1998, Kevin has served congregations in Washington, Oklahoma, Texas, and Michigan. In 2004 he was called as an associate minister to First Congregational Church, Houston, TX. There, he covered the Senior Minister’s sabbatical during the influx of residents from New Orleans to Houston after Hurricane Katrina.
Pastor Kevin graduated from The University of Alabama in 1992 with a degree in American Religious History and Continental Philosophy. In 1996 he matriculated from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University, with his Master of Divinity degree.
On a personal level, Pastor Kevin’s family has deep roots in Meridian, Mississippi, though he was born in the country of Singapore in 1969 to a family whose father worked in the oil business. His family moved back to the United States in 1980, settling in Oklahoma and eventually in Texas. His partner of almost eight years, Douglas Wilson, has twenty years of elementary school teaching experience, most recently being employed by the Wilmette (IL) School District for the past three years.
Pastor Kevin is an avid reader of history, theological works, and in his spare time, mystery novels, especially the works of Agatha Christie.
